A curse or is it a ghost, something is determined to make sure know one lives in this house in Amityville NY. A red room is the passage to HELL.

Something is present always there lerking you can feel it and the worst is the unknown. What is making all these thing happen floating furniture, thousand of flies, blood and ooze from the walls and stairs. Is that someone spying through the windows or am i starting to lose my mind too. Mr Lutz has taken a liking to an axe and Missy has made an evil invisable friend. The new owners have realized that they my have bought more than a house in the county. This house has a mind of it own.

A shocking gruesome murder in the small town of Amityville NY, leave a house in the country abandoned and for sale dirt cheap. Some people say you get what you pay for, in this case it definatly true the paid for a nightmare. The previous owners was a family that was murdered in there home with a shotgun with no reason what so ever, to make it even worse there own son killed everyone. The story of this night and the horror to follow was said to be a true story. Later it was proven that this story never happend and it was which at the time was said to be a true story along with the horror that followed in the years to come. This in part is what makes the movie so scary, the thought that this is real that people actually lived this nightmare.

As the story goes, this loving caring family moves into the house, hoping for a great life in the country. The Lutz's George and Kathy played by James Brolin and Margot Kidder play the perfect couple so in love and so happy. Then it happens, everyone starts to fight, creepy things start to happen and the kids are starting to see ghost. Knowing there is definatly something wrong with the house the Lutz's have a priest come to the house to try and get ride of the evil presence.

Father Dekaney (Rod Steiger) thinks that Kathy (Margot Kidder) is right that the house needs to be blessed. While he is trying to bless the house and pray for the evil to leave Father Delaney is hit with a huge dose of evil. He gets locked in a room, goes blind, becomes very ill and he gets attached by tons flies, he leave and gets back to his office but the evil or the curse does not leave him alone at his office his hand get severly burned when he tries to call the Lutz family to worn them to leave the house, he goes to into the chapel to pray for them yell his prayer in hope that they are heard. Father Delaney end up hallucinating and loosing his mind.

The murders were said to of happened at 3:15 a.m. and know George continues to wake up everynight at exactly the same time, He has also started to take atrong resebalance to the previous killer. The poor babysitter gets her self locked in the cupboard/closet while Missy watches does not help her get out becasue she is listening to her invisible pig Jody. Jody the invisible pig has glowing red eye which is definatly a creepy part of the movie. There is blood dripping from the walls and George falls into a pit of goo in the basement. Will the Lutz's beable to escape the demonic and supernatural forces that have taken over. What are they going to do, can they bet the ghost and stay in the country home alive or will the die trying to leave?

The music, it prepares you for whats about to happen, its haunting and has all the right chimes and tends to give you a few more resonse to jump. as for the special effect I know the movie was made in the 70s I still think they could have done alot more in the special effect area. Don't get me wrong the are some really great scence, this is definatly a movie I would recommed for you to see.

Main Characters:

James Brolin .... George Lutz is a great husband when they move in, then he starts to change not only in appearance but his looks as if he is being transformed. He also plays his role very well expecially as he starts to change.
